Wow upon doing research for another blog... I was looking up the sage that we were talking about at the meeting. I found some crazy stuff on "how to get rid of bothersome ghosts" and aside from the norm... painting your door red, garlic, and sand...there were two that caught my eye and made me say aloud "what the heck".
1. throwing sand or coffee grinds, or even snow peas on your kitchen floor... says when the ghosts enter the room... the HAVE to stop to count the granules and they cant stop otherwise they have to start all over and this site said that "ghosts were bad at counting"....never heard of that before.
2. Place your shoes at the end of the bed, one facing one way, the other facing the opposite direction. This in turn confuses the ghost and after a few nights they will vanish.
Hmmmm

Well why can't spooks have OCD? Ppl do. I think that is funny. Nicole, that would be a interesting read for the blog--wive's tales on dealing with bothersome spirits.

When we were stationed in Germany we were visiting friends one afternoon when we started hearing a horrendous crashing out in the courtyard of their building. Come to find out another couple in the building had just gotten married. The idea was that the devil has to pick up all the shards of glass and other things that they were throwing on the ground before he could get to the newly married couple to cause any problems between them. The more glass broken, the better! I know this is not really on topic but the whole "counting granules" thing reminded me of it....

And, that reminded me being stationed at 5th General Hospital in Bad Cannstadt and we had the ghost of a German soldier roaming the halls. We called him Otto. Now, my department has moved over to the West Unit which has a few spooks roaming around.
